The Organic Certification of Fico

The agreed criteria for the cultivation of organic vines means not using weedkillers, fertilisers or any form of chemical synthesis but instead encouraging within the vineyard the proliferation of plants, weeds and processes which occur naturally but interfere as little as possible with vine itself. 

This provides a guarantee not only of the healthy properties of the wine but also of its authenticity and its ability to speak of the land where the vine is grown, a decisive quality when discussing the provenance, character and the quality of a wine.
